Who We Are

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) is one of the UK's leading specialist music colleges, with campuses in London, Liverpool and Leeds. For over 40 years, we've been shaping musicians, producers, songwriters and music industry professionals.

What We Do

Through this site, we offer a wide range of short music courses and workshops — ideal whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time, returning to music after a break, or honing your skills before taking the next step. All courses are taught by music industry experts who bring real-world experience to every session.

Our Campuses

We run courses across three UK cities:

• London — our flagship campus, in the heart of the capital
• Liverpool — courses in one of the UK's most iconic music cities
• Leeds — expanding our reach across the north of England

Full Degree Courses

As well as short courses, ICMP offers undergraduate and postgraduate music degrees, including programmes in Electronic Music Production, Live Event Management, Music Marketing, and more. In November 2021, ICMP gained Full Degree Awarding Powers — enabling us to confer our own degrees independently.
